The book begins with his childhood reflections of being a survivor of the Greek and Armenian genocide at the hands of the Turks in 1922. He and his family were miraculously saved from a burning building that was set alight by the Turks to annihilate the occupants. About Maureen Berry
Maureen M Berry, the author of this book, was born in Christchurch New Zealand. Maureen left her native shores to take up residence in Sydney Australia in 1953 and remained there for 35 years. Maureen found her Lord in 1980, and later received her Bachelor degree in Brisbane Australia. In 1988 she and her husband Elias Panagos left to live in Greece. She labored there for 12 years until the death of Elias in 2000. Maureen briefly returned to her homeland New Zealand.
